Let it Snow...

No need to dream of a white Christmas - we had around 2' of snow to play in! We were very fortunate that we didn't experience any travel delays except for having to spend the night in Manchester, NH on Sunday night otherwise it was smooth sailing and low stress travel. The drive from Boston to Manchester was a little hairy but thank goodness neither one of us had to drive it. It was white-out conditions and our driver said he'd never seen it that bad in the 14 years he'd been driving that route! My dad met up with us in Manchester and then the three of us drove to Bretton Woods on Monday, the only sad part of the whole week was that my brother and sister-in-law weren't able to come up at the last minute because my sister-in-law was too sick. She's on the mend now but was sick the Tuesday before Christmas and throughout the entire week!

Christmas morning started out with no electricity and luckily we had plenty of firewood to keep us warm and a puzzle to keep us entertained until the power came back on. We had a great time opening gifts then lounging as much as possible the rest of the day and of course the traditional over eating of Christmas dinner. The perfect Christmas day - never getting out off your PJ's!

Unfortunately, the week had to come to an end and we all had to travel home and again we were all very lucky that we had no issues with flights and all arrived safely. Now I'm just trying to catch up on rest and get ready for New Years!
