Time to Catch Up

So we've been busy - as always - so where to begin? I'll start with adding on to my previous post and add a great family picture from my brother's birthday dinner. Thanks mom for passing it along!
Next up was St. Patrick's Day and Roanoke has a great parade complete with bagpipes and in the park there's a Celtic festival. This year it was a great idea but the rain and cold was so bad that we wound up just hanging out at the restaurant and per usual Gillian was a hit. The best part of the day was watching our Carbomb Cupcakes being sold for lunch! Gillian and I made a chocolate Guinness cupcake with Bailey's Irish Cream icing, they were delicious and I was so proud that Scott liked them enough to sell them. Gillian's Nana made sure she was dressed appropriately for the day and took no chances with the weather and purchased two outfits for her. A sleeper with footies in case it was cold and a sleeveless onsie dress in case it was a nice sunny day. Despite the weather I made sure to get a picture with Gillian in each (and a cupcake).

Gillian had her two month appointment on Friday and she's a whopping 10 lbs and is 23" long she's grown three inches in two months! That just seems incredible to me. As for Scott and myself, we're both struggling with the lack of sleep and while Gillian is doing better with sleeping at night and sleeping longer, uninterrupted sleep is something we dream of one day returning. I've been back to work for two weeks now and I'm really missing Gillian and the amount of time I get to spend with her. Two hours a day is just not nearly enough time for me, I'm hoping that I'll be able to go part time with work sooner than later but we'll see what happens. The economy has been hard on the restaurant as it has been on everyone and we're hoping that the summer will prompt more people downtown and in the doors. Keep your fingers crossed check back soon for more!
