Despite the rain, sleet and snow this week I made it to the gym quite a bit and am doing well with my training. The morning comes way too early but I did manage to swim over 1200 yards, bike 21 miles and run 2 miles. Not as much as I would like but again, if the snow and ice would give us a break then maybe I could get more time at the gym! However, that doesn't seem likely. We're getting more snow tomorrow and according to the Farmer's Alamanac February is going to be a record breaking month for snow. So far the count for Roanoke is 38" in 6 weeks!
Scott had his knee surgery last week and it has been a little more painful than anticipated and that's frustrating him. The doctor said that he could be up and back at work by Tuesday, just four days after his surgery, and he can still barely apply pressure to his leg. The pain wakes him up every morning around 4am or 5am and he goes downstairs and sits on the couch for the rest of the day and cat naps. I'm hoping this won't last much longer he looks pretty miserable.
Gillian seems to be doing better with her new round of medicine for the double ear infection. She's back to playing, chasing the dogs around and babbling on and on to her daddy. The appetite is slowly coming back as well. Today was her first day in her big girl class and she's one of two babies who can't walk yet so I'm sure in a matter of weeks we'll be running after her!
Enjoy the week, have a wonderful Valenties Day and I'll catch up with you soon!
